Wexford Cycle 2017

About Welcome Home
Welcome Home was established in 1990 to raise funds to assist Fr. Peter McVerry in providing accommodation and services for young homeless people. Today, events continue to support that work by raising funds for Peter McVerry Trust. Funds are raised through a number of annual events including the Wexford Cycle and the Golf Classic. The Cycle was started in 1990 and is the biggest, and most popular, event. The Golf Classic is the second oldest event, and enjoys consistent and generous support.

Wexford Cycle
The Wexford Cycle has been supporting Peter McVerry Trust since 1990. The Wexford Cycle asks all cyclists to raise a minimum of €250 in sponsorship in addition to the €80 registration. To assist cyclists in fundraising, Welcome Home is signed up with EverydayHero so participants can create an online fundraising page.

Event Date: Saturday, September 16th, 2017
Start Location: University College Dublin
Finish Location: Clayton Whites Hotel, Wexford

On the day, cyclists will make their way from UCD to Wexford. There will be a number of refreshment stations along the route, as well as a lunch stop at around the half way mark. A rolling BBQ will take place at the finish point with entertainment in the evening.

Please note: All cyclists must be over 16 years of age and cyclists under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the Cycle.
