In the past 30 years, Peter McVerry Trust has developed a range of support and accommodation services to help thousands of young homeless people. In the next 30 years, we will continue to help the most vulnerable people in our society and gifts in wills allow our services to plan projects on a long-term basis.
Whether you’re making your will for the first time or just need to update it, including a gift to Peter McVerry Trust is not complicated.
There are a number of ways you can leave a gift in your will:
Pecuniary – a gift of a specific amount of money.
Residuary – a share of the rest of your assets that you have not already given away.
Specific – a gift of a specific item.
A Codicil – even if you have already made a will and you would like to give a gift to Peter McVerry Trust you can ask your solicitor to add a codicil (addition) to the original will. A codicil should be witnessed and signed in the same way as your original will, and should be kept with your original will.
