The Long Walk Home Series 2019

Join us this year on our annual Long Walk Home walking series in May 2019 and raise funds for people who are experiencing homelessness in Ireland.

Our two day Long Walk Home walking event will take place on Saturday 5 May and Sunday 6 May and our one-day event will take place on Sunday 26 May. Register your interest for either event today.

Long Walk Home two-day event: St Declan’s Way, walking from Lismore to Ardmore

Date: Saturday 4 and 5 May 2019
Time: Two days
Distance: 35km
Difficulty: Moderate
Fundraising Target: €450

Join Peter McVerry Trust on this two day challenge event where you will enjoy the historical sites along Ireland’s Ancient East. We will begin in the west Waterford town of Lismore and finish in  Ardmore Co. Waterford.

Long Walk Home one-day event: The Barrow Way walking from Bagnelstown to Graignemanagh

Date: Sunday 26 May 2019
Time: Seven Hours
Distance: 26km
Difficulty: Moderate
Fundraising Target: €150

Join us and walk along the Barrow Way which follows surviving towpaths and riverside roads. We will walk 26km of this 114km path beginning in Bagnelstown and finishing in Graignemanagh.
