This new service, launched in January 2009, constitutes the first emergency accommodation provision in Fingal county. This is a 7 bed facility offering emergency accommodation to young homeless people over the age of 18 years for a period of up to 6 months.
Target group
Residents must be:
- Willing to address issues which have contributed to their homelessness.
- Stabilised on a methadone programme and addressing their drug and/or alcohol addictions.
- Willing to engage in either education/training options or employment.
- Willing to progress to more independent accommodation options after their stay at the service.
The service operates a key-working system to ensure appropriate pathways into housing with supports as required.
