Under 18s Residential Services

Staff team

Peter McVerry Trust provides 3 Under 18s Residential Services. All of these services were originally set up by Fr. McVerry, who witnessed the urgent need for accommodation for homeless children and teenagers.

Balcurris Under 18s Service - The service offers 5 medium to long term placements for teenagers, aged between 15-18 years old. There are also 2 semi-independent flats offered to clients over the age of 18 years as well as an outreach service to continue supporting former residents for as long as necessary.

Tabor House Under 18s Service - This service is a community-based children's home for six young people, aged 12-18 years old. It accepts both girls and boys and provides them with a stable, supportive home in which to grow and develop. Each child has a key-worker, who has a primary responsibility for that child's care. A lot of contact is maintained with the child's family, who are encouraged to visit regularly.

Belvedere Social Services - This service offers semi-independent accommodation to 6 young people aged 17-21 years old and an outreach service to ex-residents.
